Connue affectueusement sous le nom de Mant Doudou par ses proches, est née àMapou Chevalier, à l'entrée nord de la ville des Gonaïves. Elle était une femme de foiprofonde, de grande dignité et de bonté inégalée. En tant qu'épouse dévouée, mèreaimante et grand-mère attachée à sa famille, elle a laissé une marque indélébile dans lecœur de ceux qui l'ont connue.Animée par un esprit de service exceptionnel, elle a travaillé sans relâche aux côtés deson époux, le Pasteur Dédèle Charles, pendant plus de quarante ans dans le ministèredivin. Ensemble, ils ont consacré leur vie à servir Dieu, à partager l'Évangile avecamour et humilité, et à transmettre à leurs quatre filles les valeurs de respect, dedroiture, de tolérance et d'amour de Dieu.Aujourd'hui, elle laisse dans le deuil son époux bien-aimé, le Pasteur Dédèle Charles ;ses filles, Madame Charline Occivil et son époux Monsieur Fègues Occivil, MadameSabina Jean et son époux Pasteur Prismagne Jean, Madame Sabine Charles etMonsieur Lesly Alcenat, Madame Phalorge C. Démosthènes et son époux Ing. JohnnyDémosthènes; ses petits-enfants, ses frères et sœurs, ainsi que de nombreux parentset amis.Sa vie demeure un témoignage vivant de foi, d'amour et de dévouement envers Dieu,sa famille et son prochain.2 Timothée 4:7"J'ai combattu le bon combat, j'ai achevé la course, j'ai gardé la foi."Affectionately known as Mant Doudou by her loved ones, was born in Mapou Chevalier,at the northern entrance of the city of Gonaïves, Haiti. She was a woman of deep faith,great dignity, and unmatched kindness. As a devoted wife, loving mother, andgrandmother deeply attached to her family, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of allwho knew her.Guided by an exceptional spirit of service, she worked tirelessly alongside her husband,Pastor Dédèle Charles, for more than forty years in the ministry of God. Together, theydedicated their lives to serving God, sharing the Gospel with love and humility, andpassing on to their four daughters the values of respect, integrity, tolerance, and love forGod.Today, she leaves in mourning her beloved husband, Pastor Dédèle Charles; herdaughters, Mrs. Charline Occivil and her husband Mr. Féguès Occivil, Mrs. Sabina Jeanand her husband Pastor Prismagne Jean, Mrs. Sabine Charles and Mr. Lesly Alcenat,Mrs. Phalorge C. Démosthènes and her husband Eng. Johnny Démosthènes; hergrandchildren, her brothers and sisters, as well as many relatives and friends.Her life remains a living testimony of faith, love, and devotion to God, her family, andher neighbors.2 Timothy 4:7“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

The Cannon County UCHRA office has been selected as the latest quarterly recipient of funding from 100 Women Who Care – Cannon County, receiving a generous award of $8,200 to support services benefiting local residents. 100 Women Who Care is a philanthropic group that meets quarterly to support nonprofit organizations serving Cannon County. Organizations must first be nominated by a current member who recognizes the value and impact of their work. Cannon UCHRA was honored to be nominated by the Cannon County Food Bank President and the local CASA Director. Following the nomination process, agencies present their mission and community impact at a public meeting, after which members vote to determine the quarter’s funding recipient. Representing Cannon UCHRA, Amber Milligan and Cortlind McCutcheon shared an overview of the agency’s programs and the many ways it supports individuals and families throughout the county. After presentations from all nominated organizations, members selected Cannon UCHRA to receive the quarterly award. The $8,200 contribution will directly support programs and services that assist Cannon County residents in need. Additionally, the award carries the potential for a 50 percent match from a private funder at a later date, increasing the overall community impact. Cannon UCHRA extends its sincere appreciation to 100 Women Who Care and to those who nominated the agency for their confidence and support.
