Lauderdale Lakes City Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at 6 p.m. to adopt the final millage rate and approve the city's budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. The meeting will take place in the City Commission Chambers and can be accessed remotely via Zoom and telephone.

The commission will decide on the operating millage rate, which funds general operations, and a separate millage rate for voter-approved debt service. The fiscal year begins Oct. 1, 2024, and ends Sept. 30, 2025.

Agenda items include Resolution 2024-077 to adopt the final millage rate, which the city advertised in the Sun-Sentinel on Saturday, Sept. 21. Commissioners will also consider Ordinance 2024-016 on its second reading to approve the final budget, reflecting modifications from budget workshops.

Public notice for the budget ordinance was provided through the Truth-in-Millage (TRIM) Notice mailed to property owners and an advertisement in the Sun-Sentinel.

The meeting will begin with a call to order, roll call, and a statement of purpose. Commissioners may address other matters by unanimous consent before adjourning.

Attendees in person must turn off cell phones. Those needing auxiliary aids or services should contact the City Clerk's Office at (954) 535-2705 at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Remote access details are available: Zoom Meeting ID: 86784464938. Telephone dial-in numbers are 1 305 224 1968 or 1 312 626 6799.
