Oakland residents now have a new provider for solid waste and recycling services. As of Feb. 1, 2025, Waste Pro officially began collection for the Town of Oakland.

Residents can find updated information on garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection schedules, or ask service questions, on Waste Pro's website. The company schedules garbage collection for Tuesdays or Fridays. Recycling services are set for Thursdays, and yard waste pick-ups occur on Wednesdays. Place all collection items at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the designated day.

Old trash cans or green recycling totes can be repurposed for yard debris collection. Residents can also drop off these containers for recycling at 205 E. Gulley Ave. The town reminds residents that these containers should not be used for trash collection after Feb. 1, 2025.

Waste Pro also handles regulated bulk pick-up on the designated trash day. Residents must schedule bulk pick-ups by contacting Waste Pro directly through its website. For additional questions, requests, compliments, or complaints, Waste Pro encourages residents to submit them via its website, which also provides further service details.
