Belle Isle residents interested in shaping the city's waste management and recycling efforts can apply to join the Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Board. The City Council established the board to gather community feedback and maintain comprehensive programs for solid waste handling, recovery, and recycling, as outlined in Resolution 19-11.

The advisory board will bring resident perspectives directly to the City Council. Members will help establish and maintain effective solid waste and recycling programs, ensuring city efforts align with community needs and environmental goals.

Prospective members should consider their availability to fulfill committee duties and attend meetings. The application form asks individuals to describe their community involvement experience and any expertise relevant to waste management or recycling. Applicants must also explain their interest in serving on the committee.

To apply, email a completed application, resume, and letter of interest to City Clerk Yaritza Quiceno at [email protected]. The application requires basic contact information, including name, home address, phone numbers, and email. Applicants must sign the form to affirm the truthfulness and completeness of the information provided.
