Candidate Petition DeadlineNoon, December 14, 2026 Candidate Qualifying DatesNoon, January 11 through Noon, January 15, 2027Candidates may pre-qualify beginning on December 28, 2026. 2026 Candidate Campaign Reporting Calendar 2027 Village of Estero Candidate Fact Sheet Candidate Qualifying Forms Candidate File Cover Sheet (PDF) (Initial Filing - Required) Text Messaging Service Agreement (PDF) (Initial Filing - Required) DSDE 9 Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Campaign Depository (PDF) (Initial Filing - Required) DSDE 84 Statement of Candidate (PDF) (Initial Filing - Required) Campaign Financial Reporting System Affidavit (PDF) (Initial Filing - Required)The Lee County Supervisor of Elections provides its own (CFR) Campaign Financial Reporting System for the filing of required campaign finance reports. The Lee County (CFR) Campaign Financial Reporting System facilitates the electronic filing of required campaign finance reports, replacing the need for original and signed reports to be filed by hand delivery or standard mail. Upon filing Form DS-DE 9, a candidate and his/her campaign treasurer and deputy treasurer (if one is appointed) will be provided a User Identification Number, password, and PIN access to the CFR System for the filing of required campaign treasurer's reports. DSDE 104 Candidate Petition Form (PDF) (Optional)A candidate may obtain the valid signatures of registered electors in the municipality. Submit signatures to the Lee County Supervisor of Elections for validation. Upon certification by the Supervisor of Elections that the candidate has obtained the required number of valid signatures. Signatures must be submitted before the deadline. District 3 - 35 signatures of registered electors residing in District 3 District 4 - 36 signatures of registered electors residing in District 4 District 5 - 43 signatures of registered electors residing in District 5 District 7 - 43 signatures of registered electors residing in District 7 Form 1 Statement of Financial Interests, Candidate Oath, Canvassing Board Meeting Schedule, and Filing Fee Form 1 Statement of Financial Interests for 2026 (Required - submit at time of qualifying)Form 1 must be filed electronically with the Florida Commission on Ethics via the Electronic Financial Disclosure Management System (EFDMS).A copy of the electronically filed Form 1 must be provided with your final qualifying documents. DSDE 302NP-E Candidate Oath - Non-Partisan Office (PDF) (Required - submit at time of qualifying)The candidate must file the correct Candidate Oath for the office sought. This form may only be submitted during the qualifying period. Canvassing Board Meeting and Logic and Accuracy Testing Schedules (Required - submit at time of qualifying) Filing Fee (Required - submit at time of qualifying)Make the check payable to the Lee County Elections Office by a check drawn on the candidate's campaign account for the exact amount.
