The NWS reports maximum temperatures in the mid-90s to low-100s, with mild minimum temperatures offering limited overnight relief. This level of heat can impact individuals without effective cooling or adequate hydration, potentially affecting health systems and certain industries.
Affected areas include the Sonoma Coastal Range, North Bay Interior Mountains and Valleys, San Francisco Bay Shoreline, East Bay Interior Valleys and Hills, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Clara Valley (including San Jose and Eastern Santa Clara Hills), Southern Salinas Valley/Arroyo Seco and Lake San Antonio, Santa Lucia Mountains and Los Padres National Forest, and Mountains of San Benito County and Interior Monterey County (including Pinnacles National Park).
