Heat Advisory Ends for Bay Area and Central Coast
A Heat Advisory for various Bay Area and Central Coast regions, including Sonoma, Santa Clara, and Monterey counties, has expired as of 10:00 PM PDT on October 8, 2026, according to the National Weather Service.
The Heat Advisory previously issued for the Sonoma Coastal Range, North Bay Interior Mountains, North Bay Interior Valleys, San Francisco Bay Shoreline, East Bay Interior Valleys, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Clara Valley Including San Jose, Eastern Santa Clara Hills, East Bay Hills, Southern Salinas Valley/Arroyo Seco and Lake San Antonio, Santa Lucia Mountains and Los Padres National Forest, and Mountains Of San Benito County And Interior Monterey County Including Pinnacles National Park has expired.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco CA, the advisory was allowed to expire as of 10:00 PM PDT on October 8, 2026. This means the immediate concerns for excessive heat in these areas have diminished.
Residents in these previously affected regions are advised to remain aware of changing weather conditions and follow any future advisories from the National Weather Service.
