Drive with Caution: Dense Fog Advisory Issued for San Juan, Island, Skagit, and Snohomish Counties
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until noon today for San Juan, Island, Skagit, and Snohomish Counties. Drivers should slow down and use headlights due to reduced visibility.
Drivers in San Juan County, Island County, the lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish Counties, and the Downtown Everett/Marysville Area should slow down and use headlights due to a Dense Fog Advisory. The National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle has issued this advisory, effective from 4:59 AM PDT today, October 5, until 12:00 PM PDT today, October 5.
Visibility is reduced to one-half mile or less in areas affected by dense fog. These conditions can make driving hazardous. The NWS advises all motorists to leave plenty of distance between their vehicle and others.
This advisory impacts San Juan County, Island County, the lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish Counties, and the Downtown Everett/Marysville Area.
