GLCAP Opens Summer Crisis Program to Help Residents Cool Homes

Great Lakes Community Action Partnership will help eligible residents in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties pay for cooling from July 1 through Sept. 30, 2026.

The federally funded program covers air conditioning repairs, electric bills for cooling, and the purchase of fans and portable air conditioning units. GLCAP will process applications on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 1. Funding continues through the end of September or until exhausted.

Low-income households must meet income guidelines and other eligibility requirements. Residents can contact GLCAP to determine if they qualify and apply before the program opens.
