County Pools Adjust Hours for High School Swim Meets

North Port residents should note that Charlotte County's public pools will have adjusted hours due to ongoing high school swim meets. Pool availability may be limited during these events.

Charlotte County Community Services advises patrons to check the online pool calendars for current availability before visiting.

The county operates aquatic facilities at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park in Englewood, Centennial Park Pool in Port Charlotte, and South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda. The pool at Port Charlotte Beach Park remains closed.

Daily admission costs $3 for adults and $2 for children aged 2-17. Children under 2 enter free. Yearly passes are $100 plus tax for adults and $75 plus tax for children. Family passes cost $230 plus tax for four members, with an additional $30 per extra child. Six-month seasonal passes are $60 plus tax for adults and $38 plus tax for children.

Pools offer swimming lessons, water aerobics for adults 18 and older, lap swimming, and recreational swimming.

Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All facilities use an outdoor lightning alert system that temporarily closes pools during detected lightning activity.
