North Port City Commissioners will vote Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, on a contract for potable water metering parts, repairs and services. The regular commission meeting begins at 10 a.m. in City Hall.
The commission will consider approving a contract with National Metering Service, Inc. The agreement allows the city to use an existing contract held by the City of Zephyrhills, Florida. This contract, No. 41-25-15, provides essential water meter parts and services as needed.
The annual cost for the contract is capped at $300,000. The contract term runs through July 13, 2028. If approved, the City Manager will manage the contract, including modifications, renewals or terminations, in coordination with Zephyrhills.
The proposed contract aims to streamline procurement for the city's water metering system, vital for maintaining services in Heron Creek and throughout North Port. Supporting documents are available for public review.
