North Port City Commission to Vote on Tax Oversight Committee
North Port's City Commission will consider appointing Nanette Sklenar and Kathleen Geier to the Citizen Tax Oversight Committee during their Oct. 6, 2026, meeting. If approved, they will serve three-year terms.

North Port residents Nanette Sklenar and Kathleen Geier are slated for appointment to the Citizen Tax Oversight Committee. The City Commission will vote on their appointments during its regular meeting Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at City Hall.
If approved, Sklenar and Geier will serve their first terms on the committee from Oct. 6, 2026, through Oct. 6, 2029. The committee reviews the city's financial matters and ensures accountability in the use of taxpayer funds.
The appointments are listed as agenda item 4.H under the consent agenda. Supporting documents, including applications, resumes and letters of recommendation, were provided to the commission.
