What forms of payment do you accept for the deposit? We accept major credit cards, such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express. In some locations, debit cards may be accepted, but this depends on the specific rental conditions of the location. How much is the deposit? The amount of the deposit varies depending on the car category, rental duration and any additional services booked. The exact amount will be displayed during the booking process and in your rental agreement. When will I get my deposit back? As soon as the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was rented, the deposit will be refunded. The time it takes for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your bank and can take up to 10 business days. Can I pay the deposit with a debit card? In many locations, SIXT accepts debit cards for payment of the rental. However, debit cards may not be accepted for the deposit. This depends on the specific rental conditions of the location. Please check the rental conditions carefully before booking. Are there any exceptions to the deposit policy? In some cases, exceptions may be made to the deposit policy. For example, if you have a SIXT Advantage Circle card or if you are renting a car for a long period of time. Please contact your SIXT branch for more information.
