Dorothy A. Turk 97, a resident at Holy Family Senior Living and a former longtime resident of Coplay PA passed away peacefully at Holy Family Senior Living Bethlehem on May 20, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Turk Sr. having shared 76 years of marriage before his passing.Dorothy was born on November 04, 1928, in Cementon PA to Anna (Gladish) and John Humanick. After attending Coplay High School Dorothy worked at Cross Country Clothing before starting a large and loving family.Together, Dorothy and Paul raised eight children in Coplay. Her never-ending desire to be the best homemaker was evident by the love and caring she expressed to her family and the endless efforts to make her home a beautiful place to live in.Her biggest joy came from babysitting not only her own grandchildren, but the children of many local families in need of special care for their children. She was affectionately known as Grammy Turk to all, a title she cherished always. Dorothy and Paul enjoyed casino trips together and her love for Hallmark movies. Most of all, she was a devout catholic and practiced faithfully at St. Peter’s in Coplay.Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Diane Bauder (Robert), RoseAnn Lewis, and Donna Lewis (Brad) all from Whitehall, and five sons, Dennis (Rebecca) Winston-Salem NC, Paul Jr (Charmaine) Melbourne Fl, Richard (Debbie) Frankford DE, Joseph (Dawn) Middletown DE, and John (Rita) Northampton. Dorothy was blessed to see the addition of 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren into the family over the 76 years of marriage.In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her three siblings and son-in-law Lester Lewis.The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at both Sacred Heart Assisted Living in Northampton and Holy Family Senior Living Bethlehem for the dedicated attention to Dorothy’s wellbeing during her stays at these facilities.Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing service at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Coplay on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. –1:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial officiated by Monsignor James will follow in the church at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow mass at the church cemetery in Coplay.Memorial contributions in her memory may be made directly to St. Peter’s R.C.C. in Coplay.Online memories and condolences for the family may be shared at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com.
