Amy M Kern, 86, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Complete Care of Brakeley Park Center. Amy was born in Clinton, NJ on March 26, 1940 to the late Joseph and Florence Tine Van Camp. Throughout her life, Amy was employed in various capacities. She was a Cook at the Union Forge Nursing Home, was Operator of the Royal Number 2 Restaurant, bartended at various establishments and, with her late husband, managed the Prospect Hill Apartment Complex. Amy was a collector of Carnival Glass and Hummel. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Amy is survived by Daughter, Bonnie (Walter) Shockency of Mount Bethel, PA; Granddaughter, Tina (Robbie) Hammel of Great Meadows, NJ; Great-Grandson, Johnny Hammel; and Sister, Florence Fulmer. Amy was predeceased by Husband, Frank L Kern; Brothers John Tine, Joseph and Carl Van Camp; and Sister, Jennie Schieferstein.
