Halifax Planning Commission Meets Fourth Tuesday Monthly at 6:30 p.m. to Review Zoning and Development
Halifax County's Planning Commission continues its work making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on planning and land use matters. This includes reviewing and updating the County's Comprehensive Plan, zoning ordinances, and subdivision regulations.
The Commission also reviews specific development proposals. These proposals include rezoning requests, special use permits, and subdivision plats.
Planning Commission meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are held in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, located on the second floor of the Halifax County Courthouse at 70 South Main Street in the heart of historic Halifax, VA 24558. Any changes to this schedule are noted.
Agendas for upcoming meetings are available before the scheduled date. Minutes from past meetings become available following their approval. Residents can view the most recent agendas and minutes through official county channels.
