Sarasota Sheriff Names 4 Employees of the Year 2025
Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman recognized four employees for exceptional service at an April 14 announcement.
Deputy Jessica Yoder won Law Enforcement Deputy of the Year. Since 2015, Yoder earned the award for professionalism and compassion in her community interactions throughout 2025.
Deputy Eric Mooney received Courts & Corrections Deputy of the Year. Working as a floats deputy in the Correctional Facility's North Wing since 2007, Mooney resolved a laundry outage in April by identifying mechanical problems and supply gaps, ensuring all shifts had uniforms and linens.
Communications Operator II Michelle Wilcox earned Quality Assurance of the Year. Since 2017, Wilcox achieved 100% compliance on law calls and overall compliant marks for medical and fire calls based on quality assurance audits and pre-arrival instructions.
Administrative Media Specialist Alanna Gnesin won Civilian Employee of the Year. Since 2001, Gnesin designs and produces publications including the Annual Report, Strategic Plan, and Budget Presentation. She organized four community events in 2025: the Halloween Drive-Thru, Block Party, Halloween Shop with a Cop, and Toy Drive.
"Their hard work and dedication show what it means to serve the agency and community," Hoffman said.
