Sarasota Man Noel Lopez-Cisneros Arrested April 23rd in Child Sexual Battery Probe, Faces Federal Immigration Hold

Nokomis residents learned today that the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested Noel Lopez-Cisneros on April 23, 2026, in connection with a child sexual battery investigation. Lopez-Cisneros, 40, faces multiple felony charges, including five counts of Sexual Battery on a victim under 12 years of age and seven counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.

This case impacts the community by addressing serious allegations of child abuse and highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to protect vulnerable populations. The suspect's immigration status also brings a federal component to the local legal proceedings.
