Sarasota County Elections Office Wins 3 National Awards
The Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections office won three national awards from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission for programs implemented during the 2025 election cycle.
The office earned two Clearinghouse Awards and one honorable mention. The Clearinghouse recognized "The Logic & Accuracy Show: Turning Compliance into Choreography" in the Election Administration Innovations category and "150 Feet of Clarity: Proactive Outreach for a Positive Voting Experience" in the Communications category. The office received an honorable mention for "Clarity Meets Accessibility: A Unified Signage System for Voters."
Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner said the awards reflect the office's commitment to improving voter experience and election integrity. "We continually seek new ways to improve the voter experience and strengthen the integrity of our election processes," Turner said.
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission, an independent bipartisan federal agency, evaluates submissions based on innovation, sustainability, outreach, cost-effectiveness, replicability and results. The Clearinghouse Awards program, in its tenth year, recognizes best practices in election administration nationwide.
