WordPress Studio is the agentic local development tool for WordPress. Code yourself or let the agent work for you, and sync to production when you're ready. Download for free on desktop for Mac (Apple Silicon), Mac (Intel), Windows on Intel/AMD, Windows on ARM, Linux on Intel/AMD, or Linux on ARM. Alternatively, install the CLI using provided commands for different operating systems. Three ways to use Studio: - Studio Desktop: The visual way. Point-and-click local site management on macOS and Windows. - Studio CLI: The command-line way. Scriptable for CI, automation, and remote setups. - Studio Code (beta): The AI way on desktop and via the CLI. Describe what you want, and get blocks, themes, plugins, or a full site. Studio Code features include the ability to describe what you want in natural language and have the agent build it based on WordPress best practices. You can tell Studio Code what you want, point it at a reference URL, or hand it a folder of images. The agent builds it locally, screenshots its own work, and iterates until the layout matches what you asked for. Studio includes Sync functionality to move work between local and live with Studio Sync, share live preview sites with clients, and ship to WordPress.com or Pressable in one step. Selective sync allows pushing or pulling anything from a single theme or plugin to the database or full wp-content folder. Cloud-hosted previews can be generated from any local site with a link that stays live whether or not your laptop is awake. Blueprints allow bundling a theme, plugin stack, demo content, and settings into a template to spin up new sites. Studio gives Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, and Codex the WordPress context and access they need without prompt engineering through MCP setup.
