Coastal residents and travelers in Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, and Lane counties are advised to exercise extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Portland, OR. The advisory is effective immediately, October 4, and will remain in place until 10:00 AM PDT.

Visibility is expected to be severely reduced, with conditions of one-quarter mile or less in dense fog. These conditions could make driving hazardous. The NWS specifically highlights the Clatsop County Coast, Tillamook County Coast, and the Central Coast of Oregon as affected areas.

If you are driving, slow down and maintain increased distance between your vehicle and others. Pedestrians and cyclists are urged to wear bright or reflective clothing to enhance their visibility to drivers in the low-light and foggy conditions.
