Coastal New Hanover County residents and visitors are advised to use caution in or near the water today, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, due to a Beach Hazards Statement issued by the National Weather Service Wilmington NC. The statement is effective immediately and remains in effect until 8:00 PM EDT tonight.
