For nearly 30 years, Children’s Cove: The Cape & Islands Child Advocacy Center, a department of Barnstable County, has provided a safe place for children and families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. During that time, the organization has supported thousands of survivors across the region. Many have shared that, in their darkest hours, Children’s Cove offered something essential: comfort, calm, and hope. This April, in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Children’s Cove introduced a new brand identity that reflects both its mission and the outcomes it strives to achieve. The updated brand, featuring the bold colors of Barnstable County Government and a rising sun, represents a forward-looking commitment to “Brighter Tomorrows.” It underscores a shift in focus from simply helping families through crisis to supporting what comes next—healing, stability, and a path forward. Children’s Cove continues to provide a compassionate, coordinated, and trauma-informed response for children who have experienced abuse on the Cape & Islands. Through partnerships with hundreds of organizations across the region, the department works to strengthen prevention efforts, expand education and awareness, and ensure a unified community response. The vision remains clear: a community where every child is heard, and every family has the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and empowered life.
