The advisory is in effect until 9:00 AM EDT today, October 2nd, and impacts Pitt, Greene, Beaufort, Duplin, Lenoir, Jones, Pamlico, Northern Craven, Southern Craven, West Carteret, East Carteret, Inland Onslow, and Coastal Onslow counties.
Visibility is reported to be one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, making driving conditions hazardous. The National Weather Service advises motorists to slow down, use their headlights and fog lights if equipped, and avoid using high-beams. Additionally, leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and others on the road.
