Morning Glories community garden, located at the corner of Ocean Boulevard and Third Avenue, has begun its fall planting season. Volunteers are sowing seeds for cold-hardy vegetables including kale, spinach, broccoli, and carrots. These crops are expected to be ready for harvest in late November and early December.
The garden provides fresh produce for local food pantries and offers residents a place to connect with nature. Organizers are seeking more volunteers to help maintain the plots and harvest crops. No prior gardening experience is necessary; tools and guidance are provided.
Residents interested in volunteering can sign up on the garden's website or attend an informational session on Saturday, October 12th, at 10:00 AM at the garden site. All ages are welcome.
