Dense Fog Advisory Issued: Drive with Caution Until 9 AM Friday
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for parts of northwest Minnesota and northeast/southeast North Dakota until Friday, September 25 at 9:00 AM CDT, with visibility expected to be a quarter-mile or less.
Drivers in northwest Minnesota and northeast and southeast North Dakota are advised to slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Grand Forks, ND.
The advisory is effective immediately, beginning Thursday, September 24 at 11:49 PM CDT, and will remain in effect until Friday, September 25 at 9:00 AM CDT. Visibility is expected to be one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, making driving conditions hazardous.
Affected areas include Kittson, West Marshall, Towner, Cavalier, Pembina, Benson, Ramsey, Eastern Walsh County, Eddy, Nelson, Griggs, Steele, Barnes, and Western Walsh County. Residents in these areas should exercise extreme caution if driving during the advisory period.
