Beaver County Library - Social Worker Skip to Content Social Worker Social Worker This program sponsored by the Aliquippa Library District and the Environmental Mitigation Community Fund, through the Pittsburgh Foundation. Provides counseling and support to library users, help them navigate various health and wellness resources, and assist them in their journey towards mental health recovery. In addition to these services, Michael will also provide several direct supports: Crisis Intervention, which involves providing immediate support during a crisis to help individuals regain equilibrium; Case Management, which involves coordinating services and resources to assist individuals or families; Life Skills Training, which involves helping individuals develop essential skills such as budgeting, job searching, and time management; Advocacy, which involves representing and advocating for library user’s rights and needs at individual, group, and community levels; and psychoeducation, which involves educating individuals and families about mental health conditions and strategies for managing them. Our social worker program will also focus on Community Outreach to help the library district build better engagement with our communities and raise awareness of available services and resources.
