Bradenton Drug Overdose Investigation: 15-Year Sentence

A drug overdose investigation that began in March 2024 has concluded with a 15-year prison sentence for Bradley Lane, identified as the drug supplier.

Law enforcement responded March 11, 2024, to a call reporting a triple drug overdose in the 500 block of 64th Avenue East in Bradenton. Deputies found three individuals unconscious; two survived, but a 63-year-old man died days later.

The investigation determined Lane, 50, supplied the drugs. Detectives gathered DNA evidence corroborating the presence of individuals at the scene.

Lane faced charges of murder and distribution of a controlled substance resulting in an overdose. On August 26, 2026, Lane accepted a plea agreement for manslaughter and received 15 years in the Florida Department of Corrections.
