Trump Signs Vaccine Order, Peace Board Engages Israel, Tropical Storm Hits China

Why it matters locally: President Trump's executive order on childhood vaccinations could influence public health policy and vaccine schedules in Washington State, potentially affecting the requirements and recommendations for children's vaccinations issued by local health departments.

President Trump signed an executive order Monday, addressing childhood vaccinations. The order proposes a reduction in the number of childhood vaccines administered and suggests distributing vaccine doses across multiple doctor visits. Separately, President Trump's Board of Peace confirmed discussions with Israeli officials. These talks follow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's rejection of President Trump's Gaza peace plan. This interaction marks a public divergence between the Israeli government and the White House concerning regional peace initiatives. In international news, Tropical Storm Dolphin made landfall in eastern China. The storm impacted the region Monday.
