Residents in Western, Central, and South Central Siskiyou County are urged to take immediate action to protect sensitive vegetation as a Freeze Warning is in effect. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 degrees are expected until 8 AM PDT this morning, Sunday, October 11.
A second Freeze Warning has also been issued by the National Weather Service Medford OR for Monday, October 12, from 2 AM to 9 AM PDT, with temperatures potentially dropping to 27 degrees.
The affected areas include the valleys of western and central Siskiyou County, specifically the Shasta Valley, Scott Valley, and portions of the lower Klamath River Valley. Mount Shasta City and areas to its east are also included in this warning.
