Stop Pretending You Need Another Prestige Drama. Watch “The Pitt.”
“The Pitt” is the rare medical show that understands an emergency room is not a metaphor for America—it is simply a place where everyone is tired, bleeding, and making terrible decisions. Plus: four things worth your time, and one expensive-looking dud to leave in the digital lobby.
Quiet Luxury Is Dead; Long Live the Weird Little Jacket
The beige era promised elegance but delivered the visual equivalent of unsalted oatmeal. Now personal style is getting louder, stranger, and—thank goodness—slightly less committed to looking like a billionaire’s waiting room.

The Group Chat, the Group Project, and Other Places Adults Go to Avoid Saying No
One reader keeps getting drafted as the family event planner. Another is “just being helpful” at work and quietly becoming everyone’s unpaid assistant. Darla has two words for both situations: stop volunteering.

The Museum Is Not a Giant Screensaver
I have seen the future of art, and it is a 40-foot projection of sunflowers charging admission. Immersive exhibitions are not evil—but too many of them confuse spectacle with looking.

Dog License
2026 DOG LICENSES (Available effective 12/1/2025) In Pennsylvania, all dogs must be licensed at the point of purchase or adoption (earliest is 8 weeks of age) and by 3 months if no transfer of ownership has occurred. All dogs that do not have a lifetime license must be licensed by January 1st of each year.Keep your dog safe and protect your wallet. A dog license costs far less than the $500.00 fine plus court costs you could face as the dog owner for not having one. Licensing brings lost pets home faster. A license is easier to spot. A microchip isn't. Give your dog the protection they deserve and keep them licensed.
