San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Flood Control & Water Conservation District is considering a proposal to dissolve Zone 10, an area that represents Inverness. The Flood Control District will hold a public hearing on the proposal June 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903. Zone 10 was established in 1961 to address drainage issues in Inverness. However, it has been inactive for many years and possesses no revenue. The Flood Control District has determined that Zone 10 is no longer necessary and that its dissolution would not negatively impact flood control or water conservation efforts in the area. The public hearing is an opportunity for residents and other interested parties to provide input on the proposed dissolution. Information can be obtained from the staff of the Marin County Department of Public Works by calling (415) 473-6528.
