WASHINGTON – A Republican-led Senate committee voted Thursday to recommend holding Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress. The vote followed Fauci's refusal to answer specific questions during a committee hearing.
Separately, health officials have initiated an investigation into a salmonella outbreak. They have connected the outbreak to jalapeno peppers sourced from Mexico.
In a health development, scientists will soon apply messenger RNA (mRNA) technology to flu vaccines for older Americans. This technology formed the basis for COVID-19 vaccines.
