A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM CDT today, September 27, for portions of southwest Minnesota and central, east central, south central, and southeast South Dakota. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, SD, issued the advisory due to visibility reduced to one-quarter to one-half mile in dense fog.

Counties affected include Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, and Pipestone in Minnesota, and Beadle, Kingsbury, Brookings, Gregory, Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, Lake, Moody, Brule, Aurora, Davison, Hanson, Charles Mix, Douglas, Hutchinson, and Bon Homme in South Dakota.

Low visibility can make driving conditions hazardous. If you are driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. The advisory is expected to expire at 10 AM CDT.
