Monticello School District Wins 19th Consecutive Music Education Award

The Monticello School District received the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation, marking 19 consecutive years of national recognition.

The NAMM Foundation, the charitable arm of the National Association of Music Merchants, grants the award to roughly 1,000 U.S. school districts annually that demonstrate exceptional commitment to music access and education. The Monticello Performing Arts Department submitted a detailed application covering funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, and community music programs. WolfBrown, an arts education research firm, reviewed the submission before the foundation approved it.
