The City of Abilene will host a public meeting to present the findings of a comprehensive solid waste rate study. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Abilene Public Library, located at 202 Cedar Street. The purpose of the meeting is to inform residents about the study's results and gather feedback on potential adjustments to solid waste service rates. City staff will be available to answer questions and address concerns. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in this important discussion about the future of solid waste services in Abilene.

The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lady Lake Town Hall, 409 Fennell Boulevard, Lady Lake, Florida 32159. All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the Ordinance. The Ordinance may be inspected by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at 409 Fennell Boulevard, Lady Lake, Florida, 32159, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. In accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this proceeding should contact the Town Clerk’s Office at (352) 751-1507 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Commission with respect to any matter considered at the meeting, such person will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
