New Service Request | Molino Utilities Incorporated

New Service Request | Molino Utilities Incorporated New Service Request Residential Owner: $60.00 plus $25.00 processing fee = $85.00 Residential Renter: $125.00 plus $25.00 processing fee = $150.00 Commerical 3/4 and 1 inch meter: $225.00 plus $25.00 processing fee = $250.00 Commerical meters that are bigger than a 1 inch meter will be on a case by case basis. Welcome to the Molino Utilities Incorporated Community. To set up new service, you must come into the office and fill out an application. You MUST bring in some type of documentation that shows you have permission to turn the service on in your name. Example: Buyer's agreement, rental agreement, or a Warranty Deed. For homeowners, there is a $85.00 deposit ($60.00 meter deposit plus $25.00 processing fee) that must be paid before we are able to turn the water on. For renters, thre is a $150.00 deposit ($125.00 meter deposit plus $25.00 processing fee) that must be paid before we are able to turn the water on. The deposit will be returned to the customer upon cancellation of water service if all the bills are paid in full. We accept cash, check, credit card, or money order in the office. If you are looking to get a new meter installed, the pricing is different. For business meters, please contact our office for pricing. We have 2 different sizes we recommend for residential services. If the home is less than 500 feet from the road, you will need a 3/4 inch meter which is $ 3,085.00 (which includes the deposit). If the home is more than 500 feet, you will need a 1 inch meter which is $ 3,535.00 (which includes the deposit). ** Starting February 1, 2026, the price for the 3/4 inch and 1 inch meter will be increasing to $3,685 (3/4 inch) and $4,135 (1 inch). ** However, there are certain locations in Molino that will not be able to get the 3/4 inch meter and would have to get the 1 inch meter. To verify the size meter, please contact our office. At this time, there is about an 6 week turn around for meters to be installed once the application and payment is made. We look forward to serving your water needs.

FAQ

FAQ To serve you better, we've assembled a list of our customers' most frequently asked questions. If you don't find your answer here, feel free to contact us. How could I have used this much water? You may not have - the numbers on your meter may have been transposed or hard to read. You could possibly have a leaky toilet or faucet that's difficult to detect. Just call the office and we'll work with you to solve the problem. What do I do if I am experiencing low pressure? Check your meter and the surrounding area for possible leaks. Next, call our office and report low pressure for your area. Why is my water discolored? A repair could have been completed recently allowing air to enter the line, causing the milky look. What chemicals does our utility district add to the water? Only chemicals that are approved by the National Safety Foundation for treatment of drinking water. My water tastes, looks, and smells funny. Is it safe to drink? All public water systems are required to maintain a minimum chlorine level of 0.2 mg/L (tested at the end of each line) by state law. Systems that use chloramine as a disinfectant must maintain a level of 0.5 mg/L by state law. Our disinfectant levels are tested daily to ensure safety. Why does debris come out of the faucet when running hot water? Most likely your water heater needs to be flushed. CAUTION: Most manufacturers recommend hiring a professional to flush your water heater. If you plan on doing this yourself, read the owner's manual to keep from being hurt and or damaging the water heater. Why do I have a previous balance when I know I sent in my payment? We may have received it after the due date or we may not have received it at all. Call our office and we will help you solve the problem.
