Heat Advisory Issued for Region: Stay Cool and Hydrated

A Heat Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service Sacramento, effective from Saturday, October 3, to Monday, October 5, for much of the Sacramento and Northern San Joaquin Valleys, Delta, and foothills, with temperatures reaching 94 to 100 degrees; residents should drink fluids, stay cool, and check on neighbors.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for much of the Sacramento and Northern San Joaquin Valleys, Delta, and foothills. Residents are advised to take precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.

The National Weather Service Sacramento has issued the advisory, effective from 11 AM PDT Saturday, October 3, until 10 PM PDT Monday, October 5. High temperatures are expected to reach between 94 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with the hottest days anticipated on Sunday and Monday.

Areas affected include: Northern, Central, and Southern Motherlode (1000-3000 ft); Central and Eastern Colusa County; Sutter and Yuba Counties (below 1000 ft); Capay Hills of Yolo County and Vaca Hills of Solano County; Western Yolo County (including Capay Valley and I-505); Central Yolo and Northeast Solano Counties (including Woodland and Davis); Sacramento Metro and Western El Dorado and Amador Counties; Central Solano County (including Fairfield and Vacaville); Southwestern Solano County (including Vallejo); Sacramento County Delta; San Joaquin County Delta; Central San Joaquin County (including Stockton Metro); Tracy Triangle (below 1000 ft); Northeastern San Joaquin Valley (below 1000 ft); Eastern Diablo Range (above 1000 ft); Western Stanislaus County (below 1000 ft, including I-5); and Central Stanislaus County (including Modesto Metro).

During this period, residents are urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, avoid direct sun exposure, and check on relatives and neighbors. These measures are crucial to prevent potential heat illnesses.
