A Storm Surge Warning has been issued for Mobile Central, including Mobile, Prichard, and Theodore, by the National Weather Service Mobile AL, effective immediately until Saturday morning. Life-threatening storm surge inundation of 2-4 feet above ground is possible. Flood preparations and ordered evacuations should be complete. Evacuees should be in shelters well away from storm surge flooding. Residents are advised to remain sheltered in a safe location and not venture outside.

Wind speeds of 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected, with potential for hazardous wind of equivalent tropical storm force (39-57 mph). Efforts to protect property should be completed as soon as possible. Move to safe shelter before wind becomes hazardous.

Scattered power and communications outages are possible, along with damage to properties and trees. Roads may become impassable due to debris. Limited impacts from flooding rain and little to no tornado threat are currently forecast.
