St. Luke's Wins Alabama Girls Soccer State Title

St. Luke's Episcopal School's girls soccer team won the Alabama Class 4A state championship Tuesday with a 5-0 victory over St. John Paul II in Huntsville.
Senior Kiley Hawarah scored four goals in the final and earned Tournament MVP. The West Georgia signee finished her high school career with 237 goals, the second-most in Alabama girls soccer history across all classifications.
Coach Austin Beatty's Wildcats capped a four-year climb through the playoffs. The senior class of Hawarah, Presley Jackson, Ally Grace Lowell, Evelyn Cummings, and Emma Trammell set the goal of winning a state championship in seventh grade. As freshmen, they made their first playoff appearance; as sophomores, they reached the Final Four; as juniors, they lost in the state championship match.
