The Walton County Sheriff's Office encourages applications from veterans and individuals with disabilities.

As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the office provides reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities. Prospective and current employees should discuss potential accommodations directly with the employer.

The Sheriff's Office also encourages veterans to apply. Applicable state and federal law grants preference and priority to certain service members and veterans, including their spouses and family members.

Additionally, some service members may qualify for a waiver of post-secondary educational requirements under Chapter 295 of the Florida Statutes.
