iCode Partners Riverview Schools for STEM Expansion

Students in Mims and surrounding Riverview communities may soon access expanded science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education through a new partnership with iCode. The STEM education company is bringing its programs directly to Riverview-area schools.

The iCode School Partnership Program offers curriculum covering sequencing, encryption algorithms, design thinking, engineering, programming with Scratch, robotics, circuits, programming logic, web design with HTML & CSS, and debugging. The program also emphasizes soft skills such as independent thinking, fine motor coordination, pattern recognition, logical analysis, and teamwork.

iCode provides trained instructors for collaborative, interactive classes typically lasting one to two hours during the week. Schedules and course lengths will be determined by agreements with school administration. These hands-on activities aim to make STEM learning engaging and fun.

Schools interested in bringing iCode's STEM education can request partnership information. Options include after-school clubs, daytime classes or camps. iCode offers a free trial class for students. Parents and principals interested in learning more can contact the company.

In addition to school partnerships, iCode offers classroom rental services for homeschool groups. These rentals include space for up to 10 students and a teacher, laptops, and internet access. A parental workspace with coffee is available for a $7.50 per hour fee per parent, pending availability.
