Acting Attorney General Halts Trump's 'Anti-Weaponization Fund'

WASHINGTON – Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on Sunday formally terminated former President Donald Trump's $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization fund." Blanche issued the order ahead of his scheduled appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The fund, established by the previous administration, intended to provide compensation to individuals identified as political allies of former President Trump. The initiative carried a valuation of $1.8 billion.

Blanche's directive to end the fund became public late Sunday evening. He is scheduled to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill. The committee will conduct his nomination hearing on July 15, 2026.
