Apply for Service Options Using Resources in a Community Environment (SOURCE) | Georgia.gov Skip to main content State of Emergency Declared Ahead of Hurricane Isaias Prepare for severe weather and follow official updates. This waiver program provides in-home and community-based services as an alternative to a nursing home. A Medicaid waiver provides recipients certain services not normally covered by Medicaid for a person with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities. These services can take place in the person’s home or in the community. Service Options Using Resources in a Community Environment (SOURCE) serves frail, elderly, and disabled Georgians. It provides coordinated services in their home or community. SOURCE can provide adult day care, alternative living services, personal care, home delivered meals, and respite care for family caregivers. Make Sure You’re Eligible SOURCE is only available in certain areas of the state. You must be a resident of a county served by this program. To qualify, you must meet Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Medicaid eligibility criteria and: Be 65 or older or, if younger than 65, meet certain disability requirements Require a nursing home level of care Gather What You'll Need Verification of income Verification of assets, such as bank accounts or property Verification of citizenship Submit Your Application To apply for SOURCE, you must call the number listed for the provider serving your county. Once connected, a staff member will screen you by asking questions about your situation. Find your SOURCE provider on the Georgia Department of Human Services website. Next Steps If you are approved, you will be assessed by a SOURCE staff member to identify your needs. Based on this assessment, a plan of care will be developed to assist you with appropriate services. The Georgia Dream Homeownership Program provides affordable mortgage financing for eligible homebuyers. The Georgia Dream Homeownership Program makes purchasing a home possible for eligible residents. Georgia Dream provides affordable financing options, down payment and closing cost assistance, and homebuyer education. Active military members, public protectors, educators, healthcare providers, and residents with family members living with a disability qualify for special down payment loan options. Determine if You’re Eligible To qualify for the Georgia Dream Homeownership Program, you must: Be a first-time homebuyer, have not owned a home in the past three years, or be purchasing a home in certain areas of Georgia. Not have a household income that exceeds the maximum household income (visit the Georgia Department of Community Affairs website for income limits). Have liquid assets of no more than $20,000 or 20% of the sales price (whichever is greater). Meet mortgage loan credit requirements. Be purchasing a home with a sales price that does not exceed the limit (varies by county). Visit the Georgia Department of Community Affairs website for more eligibility details. Gather What You’ll Need Qualifying for a mortgage through the Georgia Dream program requires certain documentation. Please work closely with your lender to collect and fill out all the required forms and paperwork. Required documents include: Most recent 3 consecutive years IRS transcripts Most recent signed complete personal tax returns A copy of lender’s Delegated Underwriter’s Transmittal signed 92900LT form with comments stating his/her review of the application Credit report Fraud report A signed Application Affidavit form (required by Georgia Dream) Signed letter of explanation addressing all prior addresses and no prior homeownership or a copy of the no-record results to the IRS request for the prior 3 years 1098 transcripts A minimum of $1,000 to put toward your home purchase Get Qualified Contact a Georgia Dream Participating Lender to pre-qualify and begin the mortgage loan process. Visit the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) website for a list of participating lenders or call DCA at 1-800-359-HOME (4663) to get started. Next Steps Once you are pre-qualified, you can begin your home search process. Homebuyer counseling is required for all Georgia Dream loans. Georgia Dream borrowers must attend and complete either a homebuyer education workshop, an individual housing counseling session, or an online homebuyer education course through E-Home America. The average Georgia Dream process takes about 60 days from application to closing. Track My Tax Refund

You can check the status of your tax refund online or by phone. You get a tax refund when you pay more income taxes than you owe. After you file your state income tax return, you can track the status of your tax refund online or by phone with the Georgia Department of Revenue. Tax refund processing times vary and depend on the accuracy of the original return, but you'll get your refund more quickly if you file your tax return electronically. Most refunds are issued within 21 days of the return being received. However, the process may take up to 90 days. If your tax refund issue involves a deceased taxpayer, a lost, stolen, or stale-dated check, or a changed name, contact the Department of Revenue for assistance. Related: Taxes and Refunds Gather What You'll Need In order to check the status of your tax refund, you’ll need information from your most recently filed income tax return: Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) Exact dollar amount of your tax refund Track Your Tax Refund You can check the status of your tax refund online or by phone. Track Your Tax Refund Online You can use the DOR Georgia Tax Center online portal to check the status of your tax return. Follow the prompts to check your tax refund status. You do not need an account to check your refund status online. You can create or log in to your Georgia Tax Center online account to sign up for electronic notifications if you’d like to be notified when your return is filed and when your refund is issued. By Phone Call the DOR automated telephone line at 877-423-6711 to check the status of your tax refund. Press option 2 (“Individual Income Tax Information”), then option 2 to inquire about the status of your refund. Follow the prompts to check your tax refund status. Next Steps Your tax refund will be either electronically deposited into your bank account or mailed to you as a paper check. Most tax filers should expect to receive their refund electronically deposited into their bank account, unless otherwise noted on their returns.
