A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Miller County, effective immediately from October 9 at 5:05 PM EDT, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee FL. This warning is in effect until October 10 at 1:15 AM UTC. Residents in Colquitt and surrounding areas should complete all preparations for severe wind, major flooding, and the potential for numerous tornadoes.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Secure all outdoor property and move to safe shelter as soon as possible. A Flood Watch is also in effect, with an additional 3-6 inches of rain anticipated, leading to potential major flooding. Evacuations and rescues are likely. Heed all flood watches and warnings immediately. The NWS also indicates a very favorable situation for numerous tornadoes, with some potentially intense. Listen for tornado watches and warnings and be prepared to shelter quickly.
