Pine Bush High School Juniors Earn 20 College Scholarships
Thirty-three Pine Bush High School juniors received 20 scholarship commitments from colleges and universities during the school's annual junior awards ceremony.
The Class of 2027 students earned awards recognizing achievement in academics, leadership, community service, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business, and the arts.
Christopher Turcotte-O'Dell received the Rensselaer Medal from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Luke Beers earned the Alfred University Scholar Award. Caitlyn Yao received the University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Award, and Matthew Webster, Tam-Ann Thai, and Aidan McQueen earned additional University of Rochester honors.
Rochester Institute of Technology distributed six awards: Rylee Torres (Art & Design), Alexzyz Brooks (Business & Leadership), Logan Sarmiento (Computing), Cole Miedema (Humanities & Social Sciences), Amelia Bavolar (Women in STEM), and Harrison Winter (Science & Math).
Other recipients included Nevan Stelmaszyk and Angelina Stuart from Clarkson University; Kate Megello and Iyana Steinard from Student Sage; Malaika Khan and Sophia Aquino from Elmira College; William Chen, Alexa Devito, Molly Moran, Gianna Levato, and Abigail Munger from Keuka College; Isabella Rios from Simmons University; Brooke Gluszak, McKenna Larsen, Angus Russell, Michael Menes, Sofia McSweeney, Suemy Chan Way, and Elijah Woodson from St. Bonaventure University; and Isabella Mosquera and Sade Christophe from Saint Michael's College.
