The Delaware DNREC Division of Watershed Stewardship, through the Shoreline and Waterway Management Section, has initiated a regulatory review of Delaware’s Regulation Governing Beach Protection

The Delaware DNREC Division of Watershed Stewardship, through the Shoreline and Waterway Management Section, has initiated a regulatory review of Delaware’s Regulation Governing Beach Protection and the Use of Beaches (7 DE Admin. Code 5102). DNREC is evaluating proposed updates that will strengthen the Coastal Construction Program, clarify regulatory language, and improve protection of Delaware’s beach and dune systems. Your input is needed.  Please take a few minutes and fill out DNREC's public survey.For more information, please visit DNREC's website.If you are not already and wish to be added to the Interest Persons list to receive more information about this project please email DNREC at [email protected].

Oconee County Elections Office Mission and Responsibilities

Mission The mission of the Elections and Registration Office is to register citizens of Oconee County to vote, to ensure that elections are free, impartial, fair, accurate, convenient, secure and accessible to all voters, to encourage voter participation, to provide excellent customer service to voters, candidates and the media, and to help the public understand and follow all laws, rules and regulations set by Federal, State and Local Laws, as well as the State Election Board.Responsibilities In addition to planning, organizing and conducting all county elections, the Oconee County Board of Elections and Registrations Office is responsible for recording the voter registrations of Oconee County citizens and verifying the legality of each voter. The Elections office is accountable for the accuracy and validity of elections and for abiding by all federal and state election codes.

Oconee County Election Day Voting Information

POLLS ARE OPEN ON ELECTION DAY FROM 7 AM - 7 PMWhat if I decide I want to vote in-person after I've applied for an absentee ballot?You will have to cancel your Absentee Ballot before you can vote in person. There are instructions for cancelling your Absentee Ballot on the Absentee Voting Page. Alternatively, you can bring the ballot to the Advance Voting or Election Day polling locations and surrender it to the Poll Manager for cancelling. If you don't have your ballot with you when you arrive to vote at the poll on Election Day, you will need to complete an Affidavit and the Poll Workers will call the office to have the ballot cancelled.Can I vote at any polling location?During Advance Voting, you can vote at the advance voting location only.
