Fremont County is accepting applications for the position of County Engineer. This position will involve comprehensive management of all secondary roads within Fremont County, including planning, design, construction, and maintenance. The County Engineer will be responsible for supervising staff within the Secondary Road Department, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborating with county officials and the public. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, professional engineering license in Iowa (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and a minimum of four years of experience in road and bridge construction and maintenance, including supervisory experience.
