Jordan Sweeney Named Miami Schools Girls Basketball Coach

Miami Public Schools named Jordan Sweeney head coach of the Lady Wardogs basketball program, Athletic Director Millie George announced.
Sweeney most recently served as head boys basketball coach at Jay Public Schools, where he also coached junior high baseball and cross country. He previously coached basketball, softball, and baseball at multiple levels and worked as an assistant and skills coach for the Locust Grove Lady Pirates girls basketball program.
Sweeney holds a Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning Studies from Arkansas Tech University and teaches high school math.
"Coach Sweeney comes from a basketball coaching family and is committed to developing our girls' basketball program at all levels," George said.
Sweeney emphasizes full-court defensive pressure and an attacking offensive style. He begins his position immediately as he prepares for the upcoming season.
