A former Tampa Police Department (TPD) officer, Ariel Rodriguez, 30, was arrested today by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) in Tampa. Rodriguez faces charges of uttering forged identification.
This arrest stems from an investigation that began in May 2024. The Tampa Police Department initially alerted the FDLE to potential forgery. FDLE agents determined Rodriguez presented a forged document to a mortgage company.
Rodriguez was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail following his arrest. The Office of the State Attorney will prosecute the case.
